Embodying Hakomi as a Way of Life

We hope you can join us for this 4-day online Hakomi workshop, in conjunction with the Hong Kong Hakomi Education Network. Marcia Burton, senior Hakomi trainer, will be teaching a 4-day online Hakomi workshop with Bob Milone, senior Hakomi trainer and legacy holder, in conjunction with the Hong Kong Hakomi Education Network.

Hakomi, created by Ron Kurtz, is an experiential method of bodymind psychotherapy based on using embodied mindfulness for assisted self study. It is designed to help heal old emotional wounds that live on in the form of life limiting beliefs about oneself and about the world. These beliefs, often unconscious, can shape both our perception and our experience. By bringing into awareness the internal beliefs about how we live and how we relate to others, it is possible to make changes in the direction of healthier living and happier relationships.

At the heart of the Hakomi, is the openhearted, compassionate, spacious state of mind Ron Kurtz called ‘Loving Presence’. It is in the Loving Presence, a healing therapeutic relationship develops. This training would focus on using Hakomi Method to cultivate those personhood qualities and skills that can help anyone be a healing presence for another.

This multi-level workshop is a unique opportunity for newcomers to the method and experienced practitioners and students alike to work with two senior trainers, Marcia and Bob.
