Come and enjoy eight half-days of Mindful Self-Compassion with Trained Teacher, Marcia Burton, and have a holiday on Salt Spring Island this summer.
Friday pm 6 July to Friday am 13 July, 2018.
We will meet for 3 hours each day to learn and explore the practice of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC). You can expect to enjoy a slow paced environment, to relax and gently reconnect with yourself. Together, we will use guided meditations and experiential exercises that encourage us to be more self-compassionate, and more compassionate with others. We will explore some of the barriers to being kinder to ourselves. You will learn simple yet powerful techniques that you can take away to practice on your own, and to support friends, family, and clients.
By the end of the holiday, you will have completed the MSC Training Course, as developed by Christopher Germer and Kristin Neff, one of the pre-requisites for the MSC Teacher Training course. (www.centerformsc.org)
The rest of the day, you will have free time to relax and explore this beautiful island. This schedule allows participants to take time to slow down, integrate and practice self-compassion and self-care between training sessions.

Live indoor/outdoor music at the Treehouse Café
Spa and body-work treatments
Swimming at one of many lakes or beaches
There will be an extra 3-hour session, offered in silence, mid-way through the program to help us to strengthen our sense of community and to deepen individual practice.
27 hours of CEU credits are available through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
