2016 Feb Nourishing Relationships

sarah and rogerAbout the Workshop

Being completely present to another person
is truly an act of love.

Sharon Salzberg

As humans, we need each other. Relationships are one of the most precious aspects of our lives. Come with a loved one and join us for a residential weekend of celebrating and practicing mindful relationship. We will offer you and your loved one simple yet profound opportunities to experience deeper appreciation, intimacy, connection, and communication. Using mindful self study you may also discover habits that keep you from truly resting in the gift of your loved one’s presence.

For one human being to love another,
that is perhaps the most difficult of tasks,
the ultimate, the last test and proof,
the work for which all other work
is but preparation.

Rainer Maria Rilke

Through experiential practices in pairs and small groups, group discussions and body-centered practices, we will explore what matters most to you in your relationship, and to assist you to discover what stands between you and what you are longing for.

Bob and Marcia have been teaching the Hakomi method of mindfulness-based self-discovery together for many years. As a married couple we often experience a deep love and connection with each other. Other times, we feel lost, disconnected, disappointed or frustrated with each other. We approach relationship from an honest and humble perspective. We believe that it is part of our human condition both to suffer unnecessarily, and to have the capacity to love deeply.

This workshop will provide the opportunity to create more choice and empowerment to experience the love, rather than the suffering, in the relationships that matter to us.

Bring someone you love to this workshop. It can be a lover, a family member, a friend, a neighbour or a co-worker.
