2013 Ongoing Training

If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each [person’s] life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm any hostility. — Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Ongoing training gives students of Hakomi the opportunity to be a part of a group, whose purpose is to learn the Method in a supportive and friendly community atmosphere. Although theory is discussed, learning primarily takes place through the practice of a series of experiential exercises done in pairs or small groups. The training is useful to students both as an avenue of personal growth, and as a method to facilitate emotional healing in others.

In January 2013, we began the third year of Hakomi Training on Salt Spring Island. The training group currently includes people with varying levels of Hakomi experience. Anyone interested in joining the group is invited to attend one weekend of the training to see if it feels like a “fit”. Those choosing to join the training after their initial weekend will be asked to make a commitment to the next three weekend sessions.
